It never ceases to amaze me how people will go about getting rid of a spouse instead of filing for divorce. Yeah, I know that is more expensive. There are attorney fees, and of course you have to give the spouse 1/2, but isn’t that better than going to prison? This book was well written and well researched. Would recommend to others.

This is one of my favorites out of hundreds of true crime books I’ve read. Willis really knows how to write an account without adding any irrelevant details, but still spinning a prose like a well-written novel. I couldn’t put it down. Some may find the details of arrest, trial and method of murder tedious in most true crime books, but Willis makes every part of this story fascinating and showcases the sadness of the loss and the pure evil of Ted Kimball. Excellent book, even for non-true crime junkies.

This book was a page turner. I was so engrossed that I read it in one day and I didn’t clean the house that day, let the laundry sit, and ordered fast food for my family so I could finish the book. It was a bonus that a famous evangelist was part of the mystery. Also fascinated by how ostentatious this evangelist lives ($24,000 toilet?)I was glad that there was some court testimony but it didn’t read like a law school journal or court transcript. It was interesting and completely understandable. This author out-did herself and I hope she’s working on a new true crime novel as we speak!
